Sharing Shamonic and Healing Techniques
Turtle Shire Mountain Ranch is an organization devoted to the study of shamanism.
Located miles outside of Magdalena New Mexico USA, this ranch has dedicated its lands to those in healing need.
This is a place where you can:
- Find out more about your inner healer and learn more about your medicine
- Develop tools to strongly connect you to your spirit guides
- Come together with other healers and join their medicine and their knowledge
- Support each other, life and Mother Earth during these times of change through ceremonies.
Upcoming Events for 2008
Feast meals are prepared for all activities as part of our gratitude to the Great Spirit and Earth Spirits that help us. There is a love offering pot for those that wish to donate.
The lodge events require planning and preparation of foods prior to the events starting. If you wish to help, donate food, or be a feast meal assistant during ceremonies please contact the lodge ahead of time so all traditional feast meal dishes are at each meal. For the main 4 day lodges, this is done weeks in advance. Please contact the ranch way ahead of time with your intention. Thank you. You may also bring a dish to share with the others at any event.
Meditation Group and/or Sweat lodges
On the evening of full moon and new moon, or closest Friday or Sunday to them, we are having meditations for anyone that wants to come as a support to all us light workers. Feast meal is at 6 PM and meditation starts at 7 PM.
If you need a sweat and/or would like a sweat lodge instead of meditation group, pass tobacco to Dancing Star Woman, Coyote or Sunfox to be passed to either Coyote or Dancing Star Woman and arrangements will be made for a sweat to be poured.
Meditation Group
We will break up into groups, preferably four, and one person in the group will state an intent of what he or she needs information on about an issue in his or her life.
The group will meditate for a few minutes and then the group will share what they retrieved from spirit.
Then it is the next person's turn in the group to share the next intent.
April 2008
- Moon Lodge gathering tentatively planned for 2 p.m. April 19, Saturday depending on the scheduling availability of the woman who wish to attend. The Moon lodge is a gathering of woman to prepare for the upcoming Ceremonies in June as well as Moon lodge gatherings at the request of the woman. Agenda is; concerns the grandmother has for the moon lodge, to be voted on by its members in attendance and the planning of activities for future events. All woman interested can become members of the Moon Lodge, we welcome you. Contact the ranch and it is done, your in. We will add you to the Moon Lodge e-mailer and keep you informed.
- Full Moon Sunday April 20th, Tobacco has been past for a sweat lodge in place of the meditation group. Starts at 6 p.m.
May 2008
- New Moon is on the Monday the 5th of May, Meditation is the night of the 4th.
- Full Moon is on Tuesday the 20th of May, Meditation is Sunday night of the 18th.
June 2008
- New Moon is on the 3ed of June, Meditation is Sunday night on the 1st.
- Full Moon is on the 21st of June during Solstice ceremonies where there are evening sweat and fire ceremonies, full lodge is running. Meditation group is cancelled. Vision quests are scheduled for the 20th and the 23ed. Dream fire Ceremonies are also scheduled for those nights.
July 2008
- New Moon is on the 3rd of July, Meditation is the night of the 4th, Friday.
- Full Moon is on the 18th, Meditation is the night of the 18th, Friday.
August 2008
- New Moon is on the 1st, Meditation is the night of the 1st, Friday.
- Full Moon is on the 16th, Meditation is on the 16th, Saturday.
- New Moon is on the 30th of August, This is called a Black Moon the best time to go within, Meditation is canceled fro a sweat lodge that night.
September 2008
- Full Moon is on the 15th, Meditation is the night of the 14th, Sunday.
- A Tentative setting of September 19th-22ed for fall Equinox Ceremonies to include full lodge and sacred Fire ceremonies with sweat lodges to be voted on by the members of the lodge at the June Ceremonies. All previous attendants of former lodge activities are considered members of this lodge. New members are welcome, just call or e-mail your intent to attend.
- New Moon is on the 29th, Meditation is the night of the 28th, Sunday.
October 2008
- Full Moon On the 14th so Meditation Group will meet on the 12th which is Sunday.
- New Moon is on the 28th so Meditation Group will meet on the 26th which is Sunday.
November 2008
- Full Moon is on the 13th so Meditation Group will meet on Friday the 14th.
- New Moon is on the 27th which is Thanksgiving so Meditation Group will meet on the 28th on Friday.
December 2008
- Full Moon is on the 12th so Meditation Group will meet on Friday the 12th.
- New Moon is on the 27th which is Saturday so Meditation Group will meet on the 27th.
Remember you can pass tobacco anytime and request a Sweat Lodge for a certain day or instead of Meditation Group. This is your spiritual healing place too.
Sacred Fire Ceremonies
We planning a sacred fire lodge for June 20th through the 23ed with ceremonies and sweats on the 21st and 22nd. Those wishing to help prepare the lodge or go out on vision quest or attend dream fire ceremonies can show up on the 20th-23rd. The summer theme will be "Sharing Shamanic and Healing Techniques.
You are most welcome to attend all activities here on the ranch.

Re-supporting the Main Lodge
We will be adding more supports to the main lodge after the sap starts running into the willows in spring. You are welcome to participate and help. Thank you so much for this support.
- We will be re-digging and re-planting the existing poles about foot or so more down.
- Traditionally the woman tie the members to the frames. We also will be strengthening all cross ties members.
- There is some light work involved in small amounts of water carrying for the digging and planting of the poles, that can also be done by woman.
- We will be taking a trip with the trailer to acquire the willow. Please sign up if you wish to help so we can coordinate schedules.
After Thoughts
I am sorry we needed to delay Sacred fire ceremonies, but there is much to do to ready the lodge, my health and the ranch so ceremonies can continue. Thank you for your understanding support.
